NEW ALBANY, Indiana.–(BUSINESS WIRE)— September 23, 2013
The City of New Albany has finalized plans to expand customer payment options. Residents now can enjoy the convenience of paying their sewer bills at the office, online and over the phone. To pay online go to (http://www.cityofnewalbany.com/ ) Payments can also be made by phone 24/7 at (866-480-8552).
Understanding the financial struggles many residents face City leaders have been eager to find programs which reduce expenditures while improving customer service. One change that made sense was to accept Credit Cards online. When the details of electronic payment acceptance were reviewed they found the costs prohibitive. While they wanted to provide more convenience they couldn’t justify the expense. Unable to absorb the additional cost, but determined to find a solution, the City searched for another way. PayGOV.US was recommended as the way to go. PayGOV.US (www.paygov.us) is the preferred payment vendor for Indiana municipalities.
New Albany Mayor Jeff Gahan and Billing Director April Dickey led the effort to expand service. “The City has wanted to expand payment options for awhile. With PayGOV we can now make that happen. I’m excited to report that the City continues to improve upon customer service,” explained Mr. Gahan.
