FISHERS, Indiana.–(BUSINESS WIRE)— February 14th, 2012
The Town of Fishers has moved forward to significantly expand customer payment options. Residents can now enjoy the convenience of paying their Utility bills online. To pay online go to (http://www.fishers.in.us/). Credit and Debit card payments can also be made by phone (866-480-8552) or in person at the Utility Office.
Understanding the financial struggles many residents face the Town has been reviewing measures to reduce expenditures while improving customer service. One improvement that made sense was to start accepting Credit and Debit Cards. Unfortunately, there are expensive fees involved with accepting electronic payments. Unable to absorb the cost, but determined to find a solution, the Town reached out to other Cities and Towns for ideas. Overwhelmingly, PayGOV was recommended as the way to go. PayGOV (www.paygov.us) is the chosen vendor for Indiana Cities and Towns.
Scarlet Ammerman is to be commended for her efforts to serve residents. “The addition of credit cards has been a long time coming, and I’m extremely happy to report that the Town continues to improve upon our goal of providing accurate, courteous, and easy customer service,” explained Mrs. Ammerman. “Residents have continually requested this particular customer service upgrade, and our staff worked diligently to implement this improvement with no cost to the Town. We’re happy to start the year off on such a positive note.”
The Town is the first to offer mobile payment options via PayGOV. Residents will have the option of paying using their smart phone utilizing QR code technology along with the payment methods listed above.
