Town of Hartford Takes Payments Online


The Town of Hartford South Dakota now accepts payments online. PayGOV.US has been contracted to provide the service.
Expanding resident payment options is an idea whose time has come. Hartford leaders had checked into offering these services in the past but found the costs to be too high. Most banks required the Town to purchase equipment, absorb transaction costs, and enjoin in lengthy contracts. The service provided by PayGOV.US is paid for only by those who choose to use the service. A nominal fee is assessed for the convenience of paying online. By passing along the normal fees associated with credit card acceptance that Town is now able to offer enhanced payment options without raising the costs for traditional payers.

Madison Indiana residents can now pay online

Citizens of Madison are now able to pay Utilities online!

The City of Madison has moved forward on a plan to dramatically expand customer payment options. Residents now can enjoy the convenience of paying their Utility bills online and over the phone. To pay online simply go to ( Credit and Debit card payments can also be made by phone (866-480-8552).

Understanding the financial struggles many residents face the City has been reviewing measures to reduce expenditures while improving customer service. One improvement that made sense was to start accepting Credit and Debit Cards online. Unfortunately, there are expensive fees involved with accepting electronic payments. Unable to absorb the additional cost, but determined to find a solution, the City searched for another way. PayGOV was recommended as the way to go. Madison Water Utility Office Manager Brian Jackson led the effort to expand service. “The addition of credit card acceptance online has been a long time coming, and I’m extremely happy to report that the City continues to improve upon our goal of providing accurate and polite customer service,” explained Mr. Jackson. “Citizens have repeatedly requested this specific customer service upgrade, and our staff worked diligently to implement this improvement with no cost to the City.
