The City of Morro Bay, California Goes Mobile
March, 29th, 2016
Over the past few years the City of Morro Bay has developed a set of strategic, long-term goals for the community and then adopted specific, two-year objectives related to each goal. One of these goals was to simplify the payment process. To achieve this goal the City has agreed to move forward with online and mobile electronic payments acceptance.
To facilitate the transition the City will partner with Indianapolis based PayGOV.US and their strategic partner, Transfirst LLC. PayGOV.US is the premier provider of electronic payment services to American Cities and Towns currently serving over 1,000 municipal clients in over 40 States. Transfirst is an industry powerhouse of payment technology solutions to U.S. merchants.
It is a mutual focus on innovation and commitment to excellence that brings the City and PayGOV together. Special thanks to Morro Bay’s Cris Brazzi and Transfirsts Aldwin Marquis who worked together to identify the best way forward.
